PokerStars Sunday Tournaments
A few weeks ago PokerStars changed the times for its Sunday Majors so that those that live in Europe have more of a chance to participate.
Everything gets started with the Sunday Kickoff, which is at 8:00 AM ET. This event costs $109 to enter and features a prize pool of at least $75,000. Another $109 buy-in shows up at noon, but this time it has rebuys and add-ons. This time you’ll play for a $200k minimum prize pool.
You can play for the second largest prize pool of the day in the Sunday Warm-Up which kicks off at 11:00 AM ET and offers a $500,000 prize pool. You can buy-in for $215.
Microstakes players get a Sunday Major at 1:30 PM ET. Even though the guaranteed prize pool is an impressive $200k, the entry fee is an affordable $11.
The most prestigious tournament to win on the PokerStars download is known as the Sunday Million. The guarantee is a gigantic $1 million, and it costs just $215 to enter! It’s a small investment considering you could win 6-figures.
If you play tons of volume, there are plenty more tournaments. The Sunday 500 costs $530, takes place at 15:30 ET and has a $250,000 minimum prize pool. The Sunday Second Chance takes place at 16:30 PM for another $215. It has a $125,000 prize pool.
If you love the unconventional tournaments out there, you can try the Sunday 6-Max or the Sunday Supersonic. The former has a $150+$12 buy-in and a $60,000 guarantee. It starts relatively late in the day at 17:00 ET, which means that a lot of Euros will have to pass it up. The Supersonic takes place even later at 6:30 PM ET, but it finishes quite early since it is a hyper-turbo. It costs $215 and has a guaranteed prize pool of $40,000.
These are all the Sunday Majors, but there are tons more tournaments that are exclusive to Sundays that I have not mentioned. For instance, if you were disappointed by the lack of PLO action of your Titan Poker download, PokerStars is a great option for you. Sunday also has $215 tournaments for Stud and Draw.
As if weekends weren’t good enough on their own, the huge Sunday events on PokerStars really give players something to look forward to. Complete those chores during the week and get someone else to walk the dog, because Sunday might be a long profitable day.
