PokerStars Saturday Tournaments

If you are looking to win huge in a poker tournament, the weekend definitely offers the best chances. The majority of people have Saturday and Sunday off from work, and gambling can be a great way to spend free time. Because of this, the number of people that download PokerStars increases dramatically when it’s time for the weekend.

Saturday has always been a busy day for the top Texas Holdem sites, but there aren’t many poker tournaments that are exclusive to the day. This is strange when you consider that Sundays offer a number of tourneys with guaranteed prize pools on all major sites.

PokerStars noticed this and decided to create what they call the Saturday Lineup. The Saturday Lineup consists of seven new tournaments that only take place on Saturdays. All of them have guaranteed prize pools, and they are meant to give low to mid stakes players something to look forward to on the weekend.

The first event is quite early at 7:00 AM ET, and it offers short-handed NL Hold’em. The entrance fee is $22 and you’ll have the chance to win a portion of a minimum of $30k.

If you have a tiny bankroll, consider playing the Saturday Micro for $3.30. The guarantee is still $30,000, so you can imagine that someone is going to receive a huge bankroll boost for taking 1st place! Those wanting to play the Saturday Micro need to be online at 08:00 ET.

If you need a good Omaha tournament to play on Saturdays, you can try the $55 PLO tourney at 09:00 ET. Like the previously mentioned tourneys, the guarantee is also $30k.

No Limit Hold’em is the featured game in the other four events I’m about to talk about. There is a $27 buy-in tournament at 10:00 ET. It has been named the Saturday Eliminator and has a minimum prize pool of $40k. If you are still at your computer by the time 15:30 ET comes along, you can try your hand at heads-up for $11. This event goes by the name of the Saturday Duel, and the prize pool is a minimum of $20k.

There are two turbo events in the Saturday Lineup. The first one is at 11:00 AM ET, and it is a 3x Turbo Rebuy event. You’ll pay $2.22 to enter, and then you can rebuy when necessary for $2 each. This tourney offers a handsome guaranteed prize pool of $50,000.

The other turbo also has a $50,000 guarantee. If you are willing to buy-in for $33, be at your laptop at 7:00 PM ET. This special Saturday-only tournament is aptly known as the Saturday Speedway.
